HISTORY OF GAMMA PHI BETA
Gamma Phi Beta Sorority was founded on November 11, 1874 at Syracuse University by Helen M. Dodge, Mary A. Bingham, E. Adeline Curtis, and Francis E. Haven.
Our sorority was founded on the values of love, labor, learning and loyalty, which Gamma Phi sisters still live by today. We are the first women's organization to call itself a sorority, the term that is now used for many Greek woman's organizations.
As an organization, we strive to build confident women of character who celebrate sisterhood and make a difference in the world around us. We aim to inspire and promote the highest type of womanhood.
