GAMMA PHI BETA HISTORY

Gamma Phi Beta Sorority was founded on November 11, 1874 at Syracuse University by Helen M. Dodge, Mary A. Bingham, E. Adeline Curtis, and Francis E. Haven.

Our sorority was founded on the values of love, labor, learning and loyalty, which Gamma Phi sisters still live by today. We are the first women's organization to call itself a sorority, the term that is now used for many Greek woman's organizations.

As an organization, we strive to build confident women of character who celebrate sisterhood and make a difference in the world around us. We aim to inspire and promote the highest type of womanhood

OUR CHAPTER

The Eta Sigma Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta was installed at the University of Central Missouri on November 13, 2016! Our charter class was comprised of women passionate about living the core values of Gamma Phi Beta. Freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors came together to create a solid sisterhood that offers support both during our collegiate years and beyond.
